 RIOJAS PTO BOARD
2023-2024

Picture
Deborah Camero
President

This is my third year on the Riojas PTO and my second year serving as President. My daughter is in second grade in the Spanish Dual Language Program. We’ve loved our time at Riojas, and I can’t wait to see what our PTO can accomplish this year.

Vice President of Fundraising

This is my third full year involved with the PTO. I’m excited to hit the ground running as the Vice President of Fundraising. My husband, Marshall, and I have lived in Avalon since June 2020 and specifically moved here to send our children to Riojas after hearing such great things from friends in the neighborhood. My daughter Lucy is in second grade and my daughter Abigail is in first grade. Our son, Sammy, joins me at RES as a PTO volunteer-in-training. My expectation was to always be involved in my children’s education as much as I could - while I’m not a teacher myself, I have educators in my family and have the utmost respect for what they accomplish with our children! I am proud to serve the Riojas PTO for this year and hope to be a part of it for a very long time!

Teacher Liaison

I’m excited to be starting my 14th year teaching Kindergarten at Riojas! I helped open the school and will have an incoming second grader this year. I love being able to be a parent and teacher on the PTO!

Erin Perrino
Secretary
My name is Erin and I am your new Secretary. My family has been in the PFISD for the last six years. My oldest graduated from Weiss and is a sophomore at UNT. My not so little will be entering the third grade this year.
I joined RES as an official staff member; I accepted the position of Librarian Educational Associate. I can’t wait to help bring you many fun things this upcoming school year!

The PTO, a non-profit organization, is successful through gracious parent volunteers desiring to foster a strong community.
